Emei Mountain

This post will mostly be a photo album because I have tons of photos of our field trip to Emei Mountain.

I was feeling particularly homesick and a bit morose when the trip came around, but luckily my friends convinced me to go.

We stayed the night at a nice hotel on the mountain, but it was the following day that the trip was really about. We got up early to eat breakfast and leave for our tour by 9 am. The first half of the day would be spent climbing the endless stairs on the mountain to get to lunch, and the second half of the day was spent descending the mountain. We had the option of either going back to town or going to see where the monkeys live. These were wild monkeys, and we were told that at least one person gets bitten by one every year, so I just went back to town. Someone did, in fact, get bitten, and it was exactly who I thought it would be. It was a beautiful, clear day, so there was almost no way not to have a good time.
